Funerals/Celebration of Life Ceremonies
I'm here to help you create a unique, personal funeral service focused on your loved one. You have choices.
If you want the service at a crematorium or burial site, that's fine. But you can also say farewell in a barn, village hall, community centre, golf club, or your backyard.
The chances are you are looking for something a bit special, a meaningful ceremony. Guests should leave the service saying it is the best funeral they have been to. Contact me today to discuss how we can create a unique farewell that truly reflects your loved one. Let's chat over a pot of tea.

Direct cremations are becoming a popular choice. It is said that by 2030 40% of all funerals will be direct cremations. This option not only helps save money but also gives you the freedom to plan a heartfelt memorial later, where you can gather with family and friends to share cherished photos, play meaningful music, and tell stories at your own pace without time restrictions of the venue.
If you would like to explore your options further, I am here to help.
You can celebrate your loved one's life in any way you choose.
As part of the ceremony, you may wish to listen to their favourite music, watch a slideshow of photographs, or alternatively sit in silence. Ask relatives and friends to talk about the person’s life and then have a space where everyone can come up and share stories of their loved ones.
Whilst a civil, secular ceremony is not religious, religious content may be included, such as prayers or hymns.

I can advise you about poems and music. They are the most emotive elements of the ceremony and can stay in the hearts and minds of those attending indefinitely.
Through conversation, I find out about your loved one’s life before writing their eulogy. I always give you a draft of the ceremony so you can make corrections and add more memories and ideas until it is perfect for you.

More people are opting for a direct cremation with no ceremony, instead opting for a memorial service. The benefit here is that you can hold the ceremony anywhere suitable without time restraints and include more detail, more readings and tributes from family and friends. Followed by a buffet and refreshments to remember the deceased and share memories. If you are interested in this option, please get in contact to discuss.

Pre-planned Funeral Script
Planning your own funeral or memorial ceremony can provide peace of mind to you and your family. By planning your end-of-life ceremony, you can design and specify the exact type of ceremony you’d like. Your friends and family can then celebrate you and your life as you wish, and they’ll have clarity about your final wishes during a difficult emotional time.
As a professionally trained funeral celebrant, I will guide you through all your options and then create a funeral wishes document for you to give to your next of kin for safekeeping. This can include the place of the ceremony, your life story, music, letters, photographs, poems, where you would like any ashes scattered and even special requests to personalise your funeral wishes.
